The reconstruction of Commercial Street has been awarded to Lochner Engineering and is currently in the design phase.  When the design phase is completed, the project will go out for bid.  A construction contract is planned to be awarded by June of 2015.

The project will reconstruct the driving surface of Commercial Street, repair the sidewalks on both sides of the street, install ADA equipment, storm drainage systems, and new energy efficient overhead lighting from the intersection with 3rd Street to the Easterly side of intersecting with 9th Street.  In addition, a pedestrian sidewalk will be constructed on the Westerly side of SR101 between Duryea and Heath Streets.  The project is scheduled for completion by Labor Day, 2015 to correspond with the start of the new school year.
