PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Public participation is an important element in the planning process.  The City of Raymond has adopted a Public Participation Program to inform the public on actions occurring in the City and promote public participation.

One of the goals of the Program is to encourage the involvement of the public in this process. The City’s methods and basic framework for achieving an interactive dialogue between local decision makers, City staff, and the public will be formed through this program and will apply throughout the local planning process.

The Raymond City Council meets on the first and third Mondays of each month and Planning Commission meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. These meetings start at 6 pm in the City Council Chambers located in Raymond's City Hall, 230 Second Street. The public is invited.
Public Involvement

The City of Raymond encourages the public to get involved in their community to help make it a better place to live, work, and play. There are numerous groups and organizations actively engaged in supporting the needs of our community, from helping to prepare our youth for success, to assisting those that lack life's necessities.

If you are interested in joining one of these local organizations, we encourage you to give one a call to see how you can help.
